When your sample is received, the professional scientists at Warrior Roots extract your DNA from the collector and then bar-code the sample with a unique identification number.  We then send your sample to an independent lab Sorenson Genomics marked only with your bar-code.  The lab then runs only the genetic tests that you order on your DNA sample.  After your test has been completed and verified, your DNA sample will be stored indefinitely with only its bar-code identification, in case you decide to order additional assays.  However, if you prefer, you may submit a written request to have your DNA sample destroyed after completion and verification of your test.  This process is so safe and confidential that Super Stars like Rich “Ace” Franklin have endorsed its confidentiality.

Your genetic information will not be directly associated with your personal information collected from the Questionnaire, but will be stored in our secured database, maintained to facilitate client's requests for replacing lost reports. Under no conditions will this information be released to third parties in a way that discloses personal information, except with your permission, unless required by law.

Your personal information will not be disclosed to anyone outside of Warrior Roots nor within Warrior Roots except as needed by those conducting the genetic screening and by those assembling your report, except with your permission, unless required by law.

Your report will only contain information about the genetic variants tested for by Warrior Roots in preparation of the genetic screen. Broader information about the genes and genetic variants will not be provided in this report. We suggest that individuals wanting detailed information about their genetic makeup and/or genetic testing should consult their personal doctor or a genetic counseling professional.

You will not be contacted by Warrior Roots unless additional information is deemed necessary to deliver the service described in this offer to you.

Research in genetics is ongoing and in the course of its evolution new information about the genetic variants for which you were tested may arise. Warrior Roots will not directly inform you about any future developments in the genetic screens provided in this offer. However, you may feel free to contact us or visit the website in order to determine if updates have become available.

Warrior Roots may send you an offer in the future regarding new developments in genetic screening, which you may accept by entering into a separate agreement for this information.
